"Jazz"...a poem about jazzI guess rhythm can make sense of chaos after all,
i never realized there could be Organization in madness outside of techno. but i witnessed a frenzy, it built toward confusion without losing sight of direction, yet still provided moments to think. sky scapes melted to abstract realities, and as fear was summoned, unity and strength soothed the savage beast. joy bred laughter, birds called, waves crashed, silently. if blue, orange, lavender, yellow and red could dance, gracefully, to different beats, different perceptions simultaneously, then reason would be much more reasonable, the acquiescence more feasible, integrity, quite peaceful. all countries, all cultures from various locations arose, rejoiced, just because, just because people were human, they felt human, being real felt comfortably familiar, and humanity made sense. time was bent, twisted, then left behind forgotten, melted between past and now. the musical osmosis was a left to top to south flow, a blend, mixing, thick to thin affixing proverbial words to melody, it was elastic material, non existing, but with density and weight. coarse silk, wet wood, hollow brick, fractured porcelain, they were there. i saw...no, i felt them. or did i see them? read it outside in, downside up, tease it, let it go, emotion take hold, bounce flat, flow through a loop, a tear in space where the ensemble fits. resides. to delight. |
