Black Hole

This is a poem about the author's own personal struggles with Bipolar disorder and unhealthy relationships with people and drugs. She was very inspired by the composition of Shay Alexi Stewarts poem “Song of the Prettybird.”  This is very deep and paints a vivd picture of what it's like living with bipolar disorder.
she is a black hole
leveling everything she touches
destroying everything she touches
touches
touches
touches from men she needed to feel feel validated from the very men she swears she hates
hate
I hate you, don’t touch me

she is The Tower
the eradication of everything you thought you knew, but you knew
everything you’ve ever believed in
Emaciated like the bottle of Absolut on her nightstand early Sunday morning like the empty coke bag stuffed in the bottom of her purse she would take to work
Monday morning Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday night drink up!
drink drank drunk tonight I like girls only don’t touch me.

she is a broken mirror
bad luck
bad bad bad
she is bad and she will always be according to her herself and anyone you ask
and if you get too close you’ll get cut she says even though it’s kind of self sabotage she says the way she speaks the downfall of her life as she knows it into existence
existence,?
some days.
the others?
I’m not real. Don’t touch me.

she is disappointing
everything she swore she wouldn’t be, she is
Drugs alcohol drugs alcohol
10 year old her wouldn’t D.A.R.E look in the direction of the very thing that destroyed her mother father sister 22 year old her embraces it like a warm hug
warm hug? Don’t touch me

she is cold rain
the kind you get stuck in without warning
miserable
inescapable wetness that is suffocating
suffocating like the blankets she crawls under and pretends everything is ok
suffocating like the men she attaches herself to who only want love and affection
love and affection? Don’t touch me
you’re not my boyfriend, I love you

she is a leech
relying on those around her for serotonin
make sure you absorb enough for the week!
2 days worth? indulge yourself again baby don’t worry
it’s not a problem if you can’t feel anything
feeling something? cut it off. you don’t deserve feeling
feeling
invite him over to have feeling
no feeling
you made the list! Don’t touch me.

she is sleep paralysis
unassuming
you’re vulnerable? thanks
wreck it
wreck it
make sure they come down with you
the world has done you a disservice so take it out on the
unassuming
vulnerable
18? bonus points
bright future? yes mam
watch it burn
stare into the flames and watch them stare back at you with the same eyes that you shifted
manipulator
Come here baby, I love you. Don’t touch me

she is the thorns on a rose
no, not the rose
she couldn’t possibly be that beautiful she says she says she says
he said she said
they said
wait what did he say she say they say?
let me write that down
write it on my hand
hold my hand? no
Don’t touch me

She is a black hole
Don’t fucking touch me.
